Byalee Request, alias Recce, is a magical creature who is an amazing people person! He is an absolutely fascinating mixture of genetics, being half Olympic warmblood breeding, featuring Grand Prix stallions Regardez Moi (imp) and Richmeed Medallion (imp), and half- Clydesdale/quarterhorse, featuring imported quarter-horse blood.
Recce arrived at Byalee as a foal, and his mother was broken in, ridden and sold and is adored by his Queensland owners, being the kind of mare you could ride bareback down a main road! By the age of 6 months, Recce had learnt to bow, lie down, and be ‘ridden’! As a result of it all, he is the friendliest horse on the property, and it is impossible to walk into his paddock without his attention.
Under saddle, Recce is an inspiration. The quietest breaker ever, he has a great rhythm and is scoring more than 75% at his first outings. He is a dream to ride and to handle and loves trail rides and playing polocrosse as well. His conception may have been a mistake, but it’s no mistake that this little guy has an amazing future!
